Do you just want to filter out those NULL rows? Or are you looking for your [Starting Service] calc to come up with some different value?
If you just want to hide that NULL row, pull [Starting Service] onto the filter shelf and do EXCLUDE on Null.
I need to exclude the NULL on the calculated field because I'm creating a sankey and when I filter the NULL on the filter shelf everything disappears.
Ok, you say "exclude the null". I don't know what you mean by that. Your calc generates null. Do you want it to generate something else?
Those four [Person ID]s have to go somewhere when the calc executes. What do you want the calc to do?
I don't know if it's possible, but I want not change my calculation field to not display in case of NULL values.
Are you looking to find the MIN Service date among the TRUE rows? (Rows within the specified range?)

The calc field is on every row. Every row has some value in it. Sometimes the value is NULL.
When you put that calc on ROWS or COLUMNS, tableau is going to display every value found in that calc -- so sometimes that value is NULL.
The only way not to display a particular value is to filter it out. (Or change the value in the field to something else.)
Thank you, I'll change the away I'm doing the sankey.
