I assume you're using a live connection, correct?
How are you connecting to the database? Is it windows authentication or a SQL Server user?
Correct, it's a live connection. I'm using a SQL Server User.
Please see if your service account that's used [Run as account ] has access to your stored proc when you publish the dashboard to the sever
How can I check that and/or execute that? I just assumed since the stored proc had a good connection to Tableau Desktop then it would be good for publish.
I don't think that's necessary if you're using SQL authentication. It should use the SQL user, not the run as account.
Can you provide any further details on the stored procedure? What does it do? What inputs?
I just switched the connection from live to extract (weekdays) and now it loads the graph; however, I tested the connection and it's still coming through as failure (below).
The stored procedure uses a query that pulls the current inventory level and adds the daily usage of the ingredients to give us a historic level of the ingredients. No inputs.
I could get the same data from the query without the stored procedure with a table cal, but the table cal wouldn't transition to a historic graph which is why I used the stored procedure
I'm not really sure what's going on here. It might be worth a shot to change to windows authentication and ensure that the Run As account has the necessary permissions.
