What kind of changes have you made to the dashboard?
If there are significant changes, like filters which were used to make certain custom views. Then that will mean the custom views won't work and then the subscriptions may be removed.

The changes i make are not so big. Like adding an extra advisor in a certain visualisation, change or add a graph. I am the site administrator. A client with a Tableau Online licence sets up subscriptions on certain views (like sales per advisor) and they disappear when republish the dashboards. His site role is Exporler (cabn publish).

If he's created a custom view and then something in the dashboard changes e.g. changing a graph. That may be what breaks it.
Could you try re-publishing it with a slight change - e.g. moving a filter from one place to another. Then seeing if that affects his subscription?
