Brian Gomez Dec 2, 2019 8:21 AM (in response to Ken Flerlage)Yes, v2004 is the last version of Windows 10. I just made a restoration to the previous version (windows 10 1903) but it doesn't open the program either.

Chris Lewis Dec 2, 2019 2:32 PM (in response to Brian Gomez)Brian,
I would check the event viewer to see if there are any reported errors.
v2004 is still in the preview phase and is not yet commercially available. Does Tableau Desktop work OK on a system of yours with 1903 or 1909?
Thanks,

Brian Gomez Dec 2, 2019 2:56 PM (in response to Chris Lewis)Hi Chris,
Thanks for your reply.
I made a restoration to the v1903 version and neither Tableau desktop or Tableau public works for me, however Tableau Prep works, so it seems a bit weird all this.
I also did the reinstallation 2 times to see if there had been a compatibility problem with the new version of windows but it did not solve the problem.
Thanks in advance,
Brian.

Jeff D Dec 2, 2019 6:47 PM (in response to Brian Gomez)Hi Brian, by any chance does your machine have an AMD Ryzen processor? If so, see this: https://kb.tableau.com/articles/issue/tableau-desktop-does-not-start-with-amd-ryzen-9-3000-series-processor

Brian Gomez Dec 3, 2019 8:16 AM (in response to Jeff D)No, I do not have an AMD processor. Also I could find the problem that originated in the Tableau repository. Apparently a login problem.
Thanks to everyone for your replies.

That version is a beta version of Windows. It's not tested or supported by Tableau officially. We support current versions but not beta versions of operating systems. It can take Tableau a few months after an OS release if the OS release and our testing are not complete yet before it would be supported.
