It's hard to know how to help without knowing your data much better, especially when you are using multiple data sources that are blended. Is there a reason why you are blending the data sources, rather than joining them? If you need to use common filters, often times joining is the better solution.
Countd function won’t work from the secondary datasource. But there are few workarounds for this.
Please refer the link as mentioned below,
Please let me know if this helps.
Thanks for the reply! I'm not using COUNTD from the secondary datasource, it is done in the primary. I'm only trying to use category filters from the secondary.
Thanks for the reply! I'm not the one who modelled the dashboard, I'm trying to help a friend. I guess he didn't joing them because he would have to join around six different tables.
He was given a SQL code for each graph and had to do it in Tableau. Therefore he used the same structure from the SQL code.
All the datasources have table join and some have personalized SQL code.
Sorry to be slow to respond. It sounds like the join will be complex, but Tableau can easily handle it. He should try joining first, and see if that solves the problem. If not, then it would be helpful if you can post a mock-up of the data in either an excel or .twbx (version 10.5) file.
