# Disaggregated Scale Rating

Hello,

I have created a viz that calculates a daily happiness rating (Tab-Today's Happiness) and this works as designed.  It's a cumulative percentage of two scale items: Very Happy and Happy.

What I want to do now is disaggregate this rating by months, weeks, days, etc.  When I try to do this by months (Tab: Monthly Happiness) it does so in a way

where the total of 100% is divided across the 3 months; this isn't correct.  I need to know what % were happy or very happy within each month.  For example, 92% in July, 90% in August, 95% in September.

I have attached the sample workbook for this problem.

Hi Jon,

Use this:

sum(if [Happy] = 'Happy'

then [Number of Records]

END)/

sum({ FIXED  DATEPART('month', [Recorded Date]):sum([Number of Records])})

It counts the number of records which are happy, then it divides it by the total number of records for each month.

Thanks,

Mavis
