When you subscribe, you are adding an additional subscription. So picking a different schedule will result in another subscription under the new schedule. You can (and should) verify your subscriptions by clicking the Subscriptions tab when you look at your workbook on Tableau Server.
As there are two schedules ,I have created separate schedules and subscribed using those schedules for each view. When I give comment "test_alert" on both the views, I am able to receive mails .But when I try it without comment only 15 mins frequency mails are received,I am not able to receive it for 1 hour.
As per my understanding the parameter "schedule_name_filter" picks one frequency schedule at a time. So is there any way to use both schedules at a time?
That parameter in the config workbook is used to identify all VizAlerts schedules, not just one. It is wildcarded and matched to any schedule name. Any that match the wildcard (and that are also disabled) will be picked up by VizAlerts. So your problem should not be related to that.
Can you please show me a screenshot of the Subscriptions page for your workbook?
Thank you for your response, got the solution for that.
Actually what I have done was in the vizalerts config workbook,I have given the name of schedule (i.e VizAlerts - 15 mins) in Schedule Name Filter parameter ,so I when I used to try it for schedule (VizAlerts - 1 hour), it was not working properly as "is_valid_schedule" used to remain false. Now I have made the required changes and its working fine.
Ah yes, well that explains it! Glad it's working for you.
