The heat map actually defines the size of each box based on what measure you put on the Size. So the biggest chunk is always on the front and the bottom corner ones are smaller and have no space to give you the text label. It would look something like this -
the only way you can escape this is by placing MIN(Number of Records) in the Size so that all the boxes are the same and you can keep the actual measure in color so that you know what is high and what is low.
Personally the bar graph gives you better information than the heat map.
