Performance of Multiple file connections vs. Multiple workbooks

    Michael Sherrin

      Hi all,

I have several different data sources needed for tracking KPIs, most of which are not directly related to each other (customer survey, employee survey, revenue, etc.). I want to add each as a separate data source to give managers a single source for all the KPIs. Would this hinder performance (some of the data sources are large)? Or does each data source have it's own performance based on its size (there are no joins happening - each data source is independent). It would be ideal to have one workbook, but don't want to cause a significant slowdown with too many data sources.

      Thanks,

      Michael
