That is strange and in answer to your question - no I have never seen that -
is there anything else in the dataset that would cause an additional partition on that date?
- if you can share the data I will look into it

Sa Bui Jan 29, 2019 6:34 AM (in response to Jim Dehner)I don’t think there is any that may partition the data. The googlesheet is
set up such that every month people would enter the same data. Why this
month is not behaving like other months?
I don’t think I can share the workbook.
Thanks,
Sa

Understood
if it were my workbook I would isolate the point (filter) and then add all the dimensions - count the number of records - are you seeing a 1 for each record count? if not the combination of the dimension is the source of the duplication - then check that combination in the source data
good luck

You can see the underlying data by right-clicking on the data point, then select 'View Data'. A view data pop-up table will appear showing the summary data. Go to the bottom left of the table and click 'Full Data'. You will see all the rows and fields contributing to the 403 data point.

Sa Bui Jan 29, 2019 7:00 AM (in response to Okechukwu Ossai)Yes, I can see that the columns are double. However, when I go to the data
source, I don’t see that’s the case.

If the rows are exact duplicates then you may not see them since they will be rolled up into a single row. You can display the entire data in a single worksheet and then add Number of records to text marks card. This will show you rows with records greater than 1.

8. Re: Pivot works except for one month where sum is double
Sa Bui Jan 30, 2019 5:41 AM (in response to Sa Bui)I copied and pasted the data from the data source page onto Excel.
There are no duplicates.
Why would Tableau duplicate my rows for that one month when it's on the view?
Please help!
Thanks,
Sa

Michael Hesser Jan 30, 2019 5:56 AM (in response to Sa Bui)I can't help but to jump in on a good mystery.
Just curious: is your measure a decimal or an integer? If it's an integer, something else must be amiss, as your value, if truly duplicated, should be even rather than odd (403).
What month is causing the issue? Could it be a misspelling/typo (JUN/JAN)? Have you confirmed that all months are accounted for and one is not stacked?
