How to export that perfect CSV!

      Howdy all!

Wanting to help my users out by applying a button that with a click spits out an understandable, non-inflated CSV file.

I ran into this post: The Greatest Tableau Tip EVER: Exporting Made Simple!

And it is *almost* what I want.

Essentially a custom data sheet was created, tossed onto the dashboard, given a name so that it is the first sheet alphabetically, and then add an image with a URL link to the dashboard with ".csv" was added.

Once clicked this will download the first sheet on the dashboard that is alphabetical.

This is amazing, but the downside for me is that it downloads the data as when published. So when users click all the nice filters on the dashboard and then download, it downloads the CSV as-of publishing, completely ignoring any filters applied.

In the article is mentioned extensions but my network will not securely connect to those extensions.

Are there any idea's on a way to incorporate an easy-click CSV button that applies after filters?

      Thanks!
