# Pct Pt Difference

I have some data that shows the percent of time people spend on various apps.

It looks kinds of like this:

GenderApp Name
Active Minutes
FemaleSnapchat5
MaleInstagram8

I pulled Gender to the columns tab, App Name into the rows, and sum(active min) into the text. I then did a table calc to get the percent. I want to add a column that shows the difference between genders. Any ideas on how to do that?

Ex:

Snapchat: 14% | 12% | -2
Browser: 9% | 10% | +1

Hi Ypulse Inc,

You can do this with a table calculation. In the attached example, I created a calculated field for Male, Female, and Percent Difference.

Here is the calculation for Percent Difference that I used:

(ZN(SUM([Active Minutes])) - LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Active Minutes])), -1)) / ABS(LOOKUP(ZN(SUM([Active Minutes])), -1))

Table Calculation details:

This will then give you the following (which I believe what you are looking for):

Kind Regards,
