    Leave One Value, Keep Calculation

    Martin Overly

Do I need to use some kind of calculation to leave one value, but still have it calculate? For example, if I want to exclude "Over Age 25" from my visualization, but still show 42% instead of it going to 100% when I exclude Over Age 25, how do I do that?

Martin that depends on how you calculated the percentages - it could be as simple as filtering out the "Overage age 25" by placing the dimension on the filter shelf

but I suspect you used a table calculation that would looks something like this since I don't have your workbook you will need to extrapolate from superstore data

          SUM([Sales]) / TOTAL(SUM([Sales]))

Change it to look like this

          sum([Sales])/sum( { FIXED   :(SUM([Sales]))})

then you can filter the over 25 out
