      Hey All! I am currently looking to fill a role to help with the ongoing development of our digital marketing dashboards using Tableau. We are open to both on-site employee and remote contractors. Carnegie Dartlet is located in Westford, MA.

      Position Overview:

      The Digital Analytics Specialist will work closely with our internal teams and external clients in the two key areas: Tableau and Web Analytics (Google Analytics/Google Data Studio).  The goal of this role is to aid internal and client-side analysts in deriving marketing insights from data through on-demand, live dashboards and provide consultative support when needed.

      Tableau responsibilities include:

      • Full lifecycle design and develop of Tableau reports and dashboards
      • Collaborate closely with in-house development and database teams on data-driven product solutions
      • Train and educate co-workers on Tableau tools and best practices
      • Lead enhancement and product development discussions to continually innovate reporting and analytics
      • Coordinate multiple client requests and project activities at any one time to ensure accurate, timely and efficient reporting and analysis
      • Create custom dashboards as needed based on client requests and needs
      • User license and access management
      • Participate in the design and delivery of curriculum related to the rollout of new reports and dashboards to drive adoption across clients


      Web analytics responsibilities include:

      • Assess external client Google Analytics implementations and configuration
      • Provide consultative guidance on issue remediation
      • Creation and maintenance of Google Data Studio dashboards


      In this role, you should be comfortable as the chief knowledge center for all things Tableau and work well in a team environment with other advanced Google marketing platform users. You should be able to communicate expertise and recommendations to both analysts and c-level executives.       Experience & Education

      • 3-5 years as a Tableau developer working directly with business teams to define and create dashboards and visualizations
      • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Data Studio (Google Tag Manager, a plus)
      • Expertise with data visualization best practices
      • Previous marketing data visualization experience, a plus
      • Possess a strong foundation in data analytics, an understanding, and foundation in data science
      • Comfortable in a client-facing role as an expert consultant


      Tableau Specific Skills:

      • Tableau Online experience
      • On-premise (Oracle), cloud (Google, Amazon), and Tableau Online data source experience
      • Tableau Bridge experience
      • Calculations: Basic (Sums, etc), IF and CASE statements, LOD, and quick table calculations
      • Creating Parameters and implementing those in charts and as filters
      • Modifying Dimensions: Aliases, Sets, Groups, Hierarchies
      • Filter control and customization
      • Create custom color palettes
      • Reference lines, trends, dual axis
      • URL Actions
      • Admin Tableau Online site for User and Groups with respective security levels
      • User-based filters for row level security
      • General understand of relational databases
      • Working knowledge/familiarity of SQL


      Web Analytics specific skills

      • Deep understanding of the reporting and administration of Google Analytics
      • Comfortable changing settings to improve data collection
      • Create Goals and understand Event tracking strategies
      • Connect Google Analytics as a data source to Google Data Studio
      • Create Data Studio dashboards
      • Understanding user permissions
      • Google Analytics certified
      • Experience with implementation of Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager, a plus
