I see that your field CountryCode is set to be a STRING (the ABC on the left of it). This means that Tableau didn't automatically recognize the field as a geographic one.
Can you try clicking on the Abc and then select the Geographic Role there (it should be Country/Region). Then try dragging the field to the canvas and see if that makes the proper map show up.

Hi Rodrigo, thanks for answering. Unfortunately this is not the point. If I click on the Abc happens exactly what you see on the right: I only have options in italian such as regione (region), comuni (cities)...I don't understand why I don't have the standard options in English.
Moreover if I use any sheet with countries or cities outside Italy, Tableau don't localize them. It only works with geographic italian places. It's like I had installed an italian version I didn't want
Could you share some rows of the file with me? Is your computer language in Italian?
This seems pretty tricky.
