Please see the attached. I used the percentile function in a fixed LOD calculation to find the overall 90th and 10th percentiles of the duration field. From there, I created a calc that only returned values at or above the 90 percentile or at or below the 10th percentile. Finally, I just average those values.

This approach works well when no filters are applied.
When I apply a filter on ID for example, the LOD calcualtion does not work.
Do you think there is another approach to get the perecentile ?
This is because of Tableau's order of operations. There are a couple potential solutions here.
First, you could set your ID filter to context. This forces that filter to be evaluated before the LOD calculation is run.
Second, you could change the calculation to use INCLUDE instead of FIXED. This will then force the calculation to run after normal dimensional filters.
