Have you tried creating two separate actions - filter action targeting crosstab only and a highlight action targeting treemap only?
thanks for responding,
How am I able to use the filter as the source field? I only see the option to highlight based off another field and not a filter.
I think I have to add a packaged workbook because I can't find any useful information in the links you gave me. But before I put work into anonymizing let me clarify it one more time to be sure we are on the same page.
I got a workbook with 7 worksheets.
All worksheets are on 1 dashboard.
I've added a productfilter on all 7 worksheets.
1 of the worksheets is a treemap.
When I use the filter, it filters all my 7 worksheets in the dashboard, but instead of this I want to let the productfilter filter 6 worksheets and just highlight the product in my treemap.
The only thing I can find in your link is that I can create 'highlight and filter actions' in such a way that if I klick on a product in Graph 1 it will filter Graph 2 and highlight Graph 3.
I can't find anything on the filter being the trigger.
I think I understand what you're saying. Yes, a packaged workbook would help me here.
Shivaram, thank you for your help. You send me in the right direction. Maybe I understand something now which I didn't before but I solved it more or less.
Instead of using the product dimension as a filter I made a new worksheet and put 'product' on rows.
I added this to my dashboard and then created 2 actions with that worksheet as the source sheet:
1. A filter that filters the 6 sheets based on klick.
2. A highlighter that highlights the product in the other sheet based on klick.
So now if I klick on any of the products it filters 6 sheets and highlights the product in the other sheet.
The list of products looks similar to a single/multiple values list filter. (Prefered a slider).
Happy to help and glad it worked.
