Agree with Amit. Looks like you will have to delete the preset
Then toggle to the specific device type and add the layout once more
thanks for your replies!
Does that mean that on the layout on the left I shall Always choose "CUSTOM", rather than "DEFAULT"?
And I will then have to re-add the bar chart for device type?
If the profile customization requires more efforts then you need to manually add view to each layout.
If you can easily recreate all profiles from the scratch; then whenever any new view added in default dashboard you can set layout to default for all profiles which will reset all customization and you need to work on individual profile with custom layout to get desired look
thanks a lot for your reply. However, I am not sure as to if I understand you correctly. Could you maybe rephrase?
Thanks and kind regards,
Lets say you have created dashboards with A,B,C,D views.
Now you need to create multiple layouts for different devices (mobile, tablet, desktop etc)
1.Based on available space you may choose to keep or lose some views/charts and place them correctly, we can say this as customization.
2. Another type of customization is you dump different types of charts specific to each device in you default dashboard and you choose it accordingly for each device.
Now in above scenarios you may spend few minutes to few hours to get desired customization.
If effort is less (few minutes) and you need to add new chart to all devices,You can to switch to default layout once you have added new chart to default dashboard. This will make all devices in sync and you can go ahead on individual device layout and switch it back to custom option to do your customization.
Otherwise you can manually add new view to respective device.
Eventually you need to decide which method you are comfortable with.
