How to display different color / shape for marks outside the upper whisker on a box plot?

I have a box plot with marks on a diverging color scheme, and I want to automatically color all the marks that fall outside the upper whisker gray. As an alternative solution, these marks could be a different shape.

I've searched around these forums and other places for a solution and haven't found anything. I've tried using calculated fields per this post to try and set up a filter for all values greater than the upper whisker value, but that produced unexpected results.

At this point I'm not quite sure how to approach the problem and I'm scratching my head. Any help would be appreciated!
