i have a dimension that i use on Columns from a primary data source. I placed the same dimension from a secondary data source on filters and made it global, "all related ".
if i try to drag this secondary data source dimension on columns to replace the primary, the bars become stacked and show NULLS on the bottom. I need to use the secondary data source dimension, that is my global filter, on columns AND color because it makes all the color palettes across all sheets/dashboard match, (using the primary with same color palette name doesnt yield same colors)
but i am having trouble figuring out how to make this work, i cant upload a wb.... can you give me some suggestions? here is a screen shot. So i want to use secondary data source on columns and color, but need to have dimension separated
Hello Jon,
Can you duplicate the scenario with a packaged workbook sample of data? This will greatly help the community to assist as we can see enough of the data layout.
Also - please provide the version of Tableau that you are working with to prevent users from assisting and posting a newer version that can not be opened by your version.
Thank you
Patrick
