Fields are attached to rows. And you get one value per field per row.
Tableau only displays data that already exists. If you don't have rows with the string of dates you want to display, Tableau isn't going to create them for you.
If you are looking to report on all the days from date-X through date-Y, you need a data source that has those dates in there already. you can create a simple excel file with a whole range of dates, and then blend your actual data source to it as a secondary source and report along the excel rows.
Thanks again Joe. Thought about creating an excel with the dates but wanted to still put it out there, if there was another way.
