Enable Menu items based on dashboard access

      Hello Experts,

I have created a webpage that uses api to load dashboards. there are about 15 dashboards(workbooks) linked to the portal and they load based on the button the user clicks.

Access to the dashboards is managed through active directories linked to the project and users are added to the ad groups based on the access allowed to dashboards.

I want to ask if there is a way to disable the buttons from the list where a user does not have access to the specific dashboards. Can you please advise.

      Thank you for the help.

I kind of understand what you described.

There is a function called ISMEMBEROF().  It returns TRUE or FALSE based on whether or not the user is a member of the group you insert in the parentheses.

So you can figure out if the user is a member of a group that would be directed to a given dashboard by a button.  If so, display the button.  if not, hide the button.
