# Isolate Most Recent Activity

I am trying to isolate the most recent face to face date for each individual.  The list I have has multiple assessments for some individuals and some only have one.  These assessments could be anywhere from 2016-2018 and some individuals have one for each year, so a simple date range will not isolate the most recent assessment by face to face date for each individual.  I have attached the Excel doc and Tableau Workbook and I'm using Tableau version 2018.2.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

{ FIXED [Consumer ID] : MAX(DATE([Face to Face])) }

Thank you.  How would you write the calculation to see all face to face dates between 1/1/2016-12/31/2016 in one column, 1/1/2017-12/31/2017 in another to compare, and so on?  Thank you for all your help.

That question could mean a lot of things.

In the attached I created two calcs.  The [Max Face Date] I suggested earlier, and another to convers your Face to Face string to a date.  [Face Date].

Then I made two sheets.  One shows all the Max Face Dates, and the other just shows all the Face Dates.  I'm not sure which you are aiming for.

Tableau's date handling does the YEAR stuff for you this way.
