1. Re: How to create two sheet using two subsets of one dimension and use them in different dashboards with the same filter?

Hey Maryam,
It sounds like you want two filters on the same field: one that responds to changes on another sheet, and one that doesn't. I think you can accomplish this by duplicating the field and filtering on both copies.
I've attached a workbook demonstrating the behavior. Let me know if that does what you need!

I would give your response a thousand likes if I could. I tried it on my dashboards and it works great!
There is just one minor thing that if I could fix, everything would be perfect. In the sample dashboard you have created for me, you put two sheets in one final dashboard. What I need to do is to have two separate dashboards one called trend and one called diagnostic. And the sheets with null values excluded will be in the trend dashboard. The Diagnostic dashboard will show everything. So, when I add the filters to my trend dashboard, I don't want to have "Null" as a selection option, while it should be available when I add the filter to the diagnostic dashboard. This is not very critical, but it might create a degree of confusion for a subset of my audience because they are not expected to go and check the Diagnostic dashboard. So, ideally, I would like to hide the Null values from my Trend dashboard altogether. In simple words, is there anyway that I could apply to different settings on my filter depending on which dashboard it is placed on?

Hey Maryam,
I think this is the setting you're looking for:
On your Trend dashboard, on which every sheet has the [Size (for null filter)] filter applied, selecting "Only Relevant Values" for the [Size] filter will omit "Null" from the quick filter options, even if the [Size] filter is also applied to sheets on the Diagnostic dashboard that do include "Null". That was a mouthful, but hopefully it made some sense. See the attached workbook for additional clarification.

It works perfectly!
