# Inverse of Percentage(%)

I have a measure

Scheme Load factor per year = sum([Output])/(sum([Station Max Output MW] *365.25*24/1000)) - this is plotted by year and group

I want to create the inverse of the % created from this called Lost Opportunity

Lost Opportunity

Total(Scheme Load factor per year) / Scheme Load factor per year

I saw this as the solution in a post on here, however this is not giving me the inverse result

Hi Vanessa,

I used Superstore data and used year and Segment for your Year and Group and made Calculations. You can make changes in attached formula to get your results. I used LODs.

Let me know

Thanks

Wouldn't that be 1- Scheme Load factor per year? Give it a try.

Hi Deepak thanks for your response, but those % dont look correct, the inverse plus the original should - 100%

Hi there

I did try that as a calculated measure but it didn't work, however when i edited it in shelf, it worked!  so that worked great.  You have to edit in in the shelf

Strange that it didn't let you create a calc field. It should be simple as creating a new calc field and just type in 1-[Scheme Load factor per year]. I assume "Scheme Load factor per year" is also a calc field right? If this gets you what you're looking for, you can mark the response as correct to close the thread.

Best,

Shiva.
