Hi,

Need urgent help on a easy problem, i guess.

this is a dummy data set,

I have stores and a few questions on them.

If it the answer for the first question "Is it Big" is YES then it should grade it 8%. and for the second question "Is it Yellow" it should give it 10%. Later I need to add these two Percentages for Compliance Score. which should be 18% if both conditions are true.

But the percentages are in string, how do I convert them into number?

Attached is the workbook.

Hello Nayana,

Change the following calculations from strings to percentage values and then set the formatting to percent:

Your last calculation will add up correctly; just set it to be formatted as percentage.

Hi Nayana,

You can accomplish this by converting your string values to floats (need to get rid of the % sign first).

Change your compliance score calculation to this:

(FLOAT(replace([Yes its big?],"%",""))/100) + (FLOAT(replace([YES it is yellow],"%",""))/100)

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Paul
