I was able to open and process an .hyper file using Tableau Prep with your data; however, Tableau 2018.3 will not open the .hyper file and does crash thereafter.
Is it possible this is a language/localisation issue, as I see both Thai and English in the headers? Here's a Tableau white paper on that: How to Localize Content in Tableau | Tableau Software If that doesn't address the issue, you should think about opening a case/ticket with Tableau Support. Thx, Don
I reproduced this problem with your file and put a bug in our bug tracking system. Please contact support as well.
If you remove the Thai text from your headers, you should be able to work around this problem.
Thanks for the update Dan!
The program is not crash anymore after I deleted Thai text in the header. So, it exactly because of this problem. Thank you very much Don Wise
So from your provided link, Tableau did not support Thai languague yet so Thai word in each row become ??? and I will not be able to use Thai word in Tableau, right?
Yes, that's correct...simply removing the Thai text will resolve the issue. Sorry, please make contact with Tableau Support so that they are aware and will potentially work towards resolution in the future. Thx! Don
