Any idea how to repopulate pg_hba.conf file in Tableau 2018.3.0 version. If so, please give me the commands
Are you able to connect to the db using another tool? Have you re-installed Desktop? Have you done any tinkering or changes directly to the TS PostgreSQL db?
I don't know what is happening. You will probably need to open a ticket with Tableau Support.
Nothing worked out. We have 3 environments sbx, qa and prod. We have upgraded sbx and qa to 2018.3 and but haven't upgraded prod yet. The point here is, we are not seeing any issue with prod but with both sbx and qa. Looks like its something with the upgrade. Do you have any inputs here?
We had similar issues when upgrading from Server 2018.1 to 2018.3. That broke some of the server statistics workbooks that we had on the server.
I had to download from our server any data sources (and workbooks with embedded data sources) that were connecting to the PostGres DB, edit them to 'require SSL' and then re-publish them to the server.
Thanks for the support. The issue got resolved when I did the password reset for readonly and tableau accounts. It allowed us to communicate to all servers without any issues.
