Hi Deepak, sorry to hear about the problem. It's hard to know what's going on, but try using something other than Excel, for example try a csv file instead, and see if you encounter the same issue. Try using a very simple Excel spreadsheet. Try using the sample workbooks. Do any of these things work?
Thanks Jeff for your inputs. Actually, currently trying to use sample excel sheets which are provided with app. But application is not allowing me to reach to that point. Reached to the folder and crash. Please refer attachment. Let me know if any system/app log can help identifying.
Tried for text file as well but same fate.

HI Deepak, your best bet is to file a report with Tableau Support. While you're waiting for a response, take a look at the Tableau log to see if there's anything interesting there. Also try uninstalling and reinstalling, making sure you have the latest version.

There's an issue with Tableau and old versions of Dell Backup & Recovery. If you have this software installed, either remove it or upgrade to the latest version. https://kb.tableau.com/articles/issue/error-tableau-has-stopped-working-opening-or-saving-file-on-a-dell
Thanks Dan. This really worked !!
Post update on the Dell backup and recovery software, app is not more crashing.
Thanks for your help Dan and Jeff.
