I'm cleaning an address field in one of my datasets. The AccountAddress comes in like: Street\nCity\nPostcode.
With the SPLIT (or any other formula) I'm trying to chop this column in multiple columns (Street, City and Postcode). But if I use the formula TRIM like below it doesn't pickup the "\" as a separator:
SPLIT( [AccountAddress], '\n', 1)
The \ symbol is also not picked up by formula's like FIND etc.
Anybody knows a good solution or workaround?
in your data
\n are line breaks. In your original source data will be like
in one cell or field. But tableau prep shows like that.
You need to first replace that line break(char(10)) with any other character and then do the split.
