# Subtotal based on dimension subset and how to maintain the original subtotal

Hello forum attached a work book. I am trying to show the tax calculation of 3 states, and show this calculation as a subtotal, and then show the original subtotal without taxes.
The tax corresponds to 30% of total profit.

The first thing I did was to group the 3 states and duplicate this grouping in such a way that it shows on the viz, the original subtotal before taxes and after taxes. I appreciate your help.

Hi

I have done some changes in your calculation like the case statement and used Profit * .30 to get the output now its Profit display amount is showing \$1,910  which is 30% of \$6,368

but what you are trying to achieve \$4,447 is  70% of \$6,368.

Attached the workbook for your reference. I have set  up calculation as per 30%

I have just modified my calculation little bit more after realizing that you want the remaining amount after 30% taxes.

Thanks SERAJ ALAM. The calculation is correct, but in the subtotal of the 3 States I want to keep the original total sum tax that is 6368. just like that:
