Creating a measure from 3 dimensions

    Nancy Amerson

      Good morning,

My original dataset collected it's race data as columns- meaning there were three yes/no variables (Asian, White, Black). I would like to calculate a race measures with three possible responses.

      Here is what I've tried:

if [Asian] = 'X' then 'Race' = 'Asian' END

if [White] = 'X' then 'Race' = 'White' END

if [Black] = 'X' then 'Race' = 'Black' END

The error says 'Syntax error, maybe you are missing an operator'. Probably because I need to create a new dimension?

I hope this is an easy fix, I'm a new user so I'm not sure familiar yet with how to code in this platform.

      Thanks!

      Nancy
