Sorry what is the issue? Is it the fact that when you click on the filter again it deselects so there are no records showing? Because that's the default logic of deselecting the button (ie clicking on it again).
If you want the records to appear once the button has been clicked on at least once, you can choose the filter action 'Leave the filter' if you want it to be shown.
Thanks for your reply.
Report should not populate with values When I run tableau report unless i select either one of the quick filter option (product code/product name/disposition) and click on click to apply filter
for example just consider
in the above image report is empty and product name is selected as all. If i click the action button report should get populated at the left side
I am able to get it done with the help of your input and dashboard action filter using hover action instead of select.
It works fine with hover action but not having the same result for select action.
am i missing anything to achieve?
So what you'd like is to only show items when the button is clicked, and you'd like the below scenarios:
1) Select a filter then click 'apply filters' - Will show the data
2) After the above, you change one of the filter select options - the view will be blank up until you click on the 'apply' button?
Is that what you're looking for?
