    Cant restore from backup after upgrade to 2018.2

      Hi Friends,

      I have upgraded to 2018.2 in 1 Node Server.

      However, Unable to restore from 2018.1 backup

      I followed all these steps

      And also took backup &saves that file into other location.

      Here is the error:

          Hi Naveen,


          Looking over the error message, I think it's the fact that you've specified the directory path.  It looks like we now have a "default" directory where we expect to find the file so that part may not be necessary, just the filename itself.


          Restore from a backup


          (Optional) Copy the .tsbak file to the default file location.

          The restore command expects a backup file in the directory defined in the TSM basefilepath.backuprestore variable. By default:

          C:\ProgramData\Tableau\Tableau Server\data\tabsvc\files\backups\

          For more information about file paths and how to change them, see tsm File Paths.


          So it seems you could either copy your existing backup file to the one default path, or you could change the one variable to define your new default location.
