How are you connected to data source ? Excel...Sql or any other.
I'm having hard time to understand this.
First sheet contains Top 5 products by Sales for each state or Single state ?
Second sheet contains Top 5 products by Sales for each store or single store ?
Can you provide sample workbook with dummy data so that it will be easier to help ?
Thank you for your time
Here I am using Excel as my source data.
First sheet contains Top 5 selling Products for a single State. ( Ex: Top 5 Selling Products in London)
100A Monitor 200A cpu 300A mouse 400A Speakers 500A RAM
Second Sheet contains Top 5 selling Products For each store (( here I have created a parameter for Store selection)
EX;For Store ""A"" top 5 products
300a mouse 400A Speakers 600A cleaner 500A RAM 700A hard disk 800A extl,hard disk
EXPECTED OUTPUT in sheet 3
For the Store ""A""(Top Selling Products which are happening in entire State but not in STORE ""A"")
100A Monitor 200A CPU
I'm not able to figure out the solution of this problem using only tableau. I followed the custom sql approach to solve this. Used same copy of excel sheet and connected as new data source via legacy connection in order to use the custom sql feature. Converted Region and Store Filters to parameter so that they can be passed to custom sql.
