When you save like this then original workbook will get disturbed.
Production data will not get affected in real time. Normally people never give a chance to save the original workbook in server with edit. if you get same name with replace then don't do it.
But if I take the approach that Tableau is suggesting then this could happen.
1. User A creates a workbook and upload from desktop to server to this "My folder" project. User A calls the workbook "My Test".
2. Two days later, user B creates a workbook and upload from desktop to server to the "My folder" project. User B calls the workbook "My Test".
3. User B is then prompted with the question: A filename already exists. Do you want to overwrite?
I dont really understand your answer Sankar. If this is an approach that Tableau suggest - where am I wrong?
Yes, it will ask to overwrite.
