Downgrading is possible. Just backup your data from Tableau Server 2018.2.2 data
and completely uninstall it. Then install the 2018.2.1 and restore your backup using
But, i think its unusual to downgrade to previous version if you have the latest one? is it?
Mhm....thank you Bryan.
I was afraid that was the answer.
if I have to uninstall the current version and full install the older version, why I should upgrade, test and then if everything is okay uninstall the previous one?
I can uninstall it right after having installed the new one. Or the installer itself could remove the old one as last step.
That sentence is really misleading.
And considering that Tableau Server 2018.2 is the most bugged version ever, I don't see the downgrade as an unusual idea!
Personally, given the issues with 2018.2, I would think testing new versions on a separate, development/QA box would be the prudent route.
