When I use Superstore data, I am able to get this to work. I right click on the Years(Ship Date) Pill > Format > Alignment under Default and change to Center. Same steps for Sum (Profit) Pill, and it worked. You could change all of the Pane Alignment's to be center as well, but Default worked fine for my workbook. I hope this helps!
Have a great day!
Thank you! Yes, it SHOULD be that easy but for some reason when I right click the pill in Measure Values all I get is this:
Weird?? I don't know why?? It's the same for every pill - format only gives me Numbers nothing else..
I wonder if because I'm using a published data source? (Data source is on Tableau Server).
I am not very sure but the behavior is erratic since I am able to replicate the issue you are having. At first, when I changed the alignment for the measure values, it did change. I could do it both by formatting at the pane level as well as through the text marks. However, on doing it multiple times, it stopped working. So, I would recommend you to create a new worksheet with the dimensions and measures and check it there. Copying the worksheet did not help but it did seem to work when I added a new dimension.
Thank you for your response. Yes, I got it to work once too. It is erratic and buggy I guess.
I might try creating a new worksheet as you suggest.
You are welcome.
Interesting! I haven't come across this yet, but I am also using Tableau sparingly. I'm so glad Hari was able to come up with a solution for you!! I will definitely bookmark this for future.
