Thanks for attaching a sample workbook. Unfortunately, it's based on a server data source. It will need to be based on an extract or a file for us to be able to really see what's going on.
Can you also show a screenshot of the values that you expect to see? Based on the calculations, I think there may be simpler ways to solve the problem
If it's as easy as it sounds then just SUM([Number of Records]) would do it.
More precisely, double-click on Number of Records or drag on to the sheet to the location you need and it should work immediately.
Thanks chris , that is not working, it only gives me individual records. what i want in a more summarized way is
COUNT(IF [Gender]="Male" THEN Sum([Number of Records]) END)
COUNT(IF [Gender]="Female" THEN Sum([Number of Records]) END)
