    Axis issue

    Randi Hartman

The X axis shows March data across 2015 - 2018.  How do I set the axis to list a tick mark with data for the current month and tick marks for YoY on for the same month.  Since it is currently October then:  October 2015, October 2016, October 2017 & October 2018.  I'd like this field to update with the new month across the 4 years when I click refresh data.

      Thank you!!

          Randi,

This may not be exactly it, but maybe it can give ideas.

You could try checking if the month equals the max month in the dataset:

IF MONTH ( [Order Date] ) = MONTH ( { MAX ( [Order Date] ) } )    // note level of detail calculation with no dimensions

          THEN [Sales]

          END

Here Max Month is a proxy for the current month.

Tick marks can be done with a dual axis with:

          IF MONTH([Order Date])=MONTH({MAX([Order Date])})

          THEN [Order Date (Months)]

          END

//as a bar graph with very thin width

Please see workbook v10.3 attached in the Forum Thread.
