    Custom Season to Date

    Nandha Kumar Murugesan

      I have a scenario to compare the custom season to date comparison

      Let's have 2 season in a year (*1-jan-2018 to 31-may-2018) and (*1-june-2018 to 31-dec-2018)

      For example

      1)

      My selected date 13-6-2018

      then i should get the values

      STD -> Season To Date

      Sales[Current_STD] -> sum(sales) from 1-6-2018 to 13-6-2018

      2)

      My selected date 11-3-2018

      then i should get the values

      STD -> Season To Date

      Sales[Current_STD] -> sum(sales) from 1-1-2018 to 11-3-2018

          Hi Nandha,

          Try these steps:

          1. Create a calculated field to tag which season the date belongs to

          IF

          MONTH([Order Date])<=5

          THEN "Season1"

          ELSEIF

          MONTH([Order Date])<=12

          THEN "Season2"

          END

          2. Bring sales to view and use table calculation to get the desired result

               Calculation Type: Running Total

               Compute Using > Specific Dimensions> "Season" and "Day of Order Date"

               Restarting every "Season"

          Attached file using sample superstore data for the reference. Please close the thread if it helps you and solves your problem.

          Regards,

          Rahul
