Just curious, if you recently applied a Tableau Server key (for Explorers), did you restart Tableau Server? Often a restart is required for it to recognize a recently applied key.
Hi again Daniel,
Also, almost forgot, if you're running 2018.1 then you could run the "tabadmin licenses" command to see how it shows up (just to verify there's no discrepancy). Starting with 2018.2 tabadmin went away in favor of TSM so would have to track down what the equivalent would be for that version.
I restarted the cloud instance as well as starting and stopping the Tableau server and neither seemed to work. I have 2018.1 and kept checking tabadmin licenses but it only shows my creator license. I reached out to Tableau support yesterday and have not heard back yet.
So I did not add capacity to my Tableau Server licenses as per this article: Add Capacity to Tableau Server
*Note*: Running Server 2018.1
I attempted to activate my license explorer licenses with C:\Program Files\Tableau\Tableau Server\2018.1\bin>tabadmin licenses activate ##############
and got the following error:
"java.lang.IllegalStateException: BeanFactory not initialized or already closed - call 'refresh' before accessing beans via the ApplicationContext"
Does anyone know anything about this?
