# Split one dimension into two or more dimensions

Hi everyone,

How could I let the grand total only calculate the first four categories( American-indian only, Asian only, black only and hispanic)? which shows 32% instead 100%?

Hi Lu,

You can create a group from the field Race and replace the existing field with the newly created group.The following link might be useful - Group Your Data

Hi Lu,

You can split out the individual groups from the Dimension by creating calculated fields;

etc..

You can use the same logic to create a bespoke group. In your case it might just be easier to create a reverse group - i.e.
