As of know there is no restriction on Measure names filter there is an idea you can vote against it
or else you can play with the parameters
1) Create a parameter
2) Enter the values
3) Create a calculated field
if parameter ="Sales"
elseif parameter ="Profit"
elseif parameter ="Discount"
4) Use this value as measure value
5) Click on parameter and show parameter control
you parameter will show only selective variables and you can select whatever the variable you want to show

Please find my approach as referenced below and stored in the attached workbook.
Create a set and select only measures you want to display in the dropdown
and use this set as a filter.

good point mavis, but somewhere else in the worksheet I need also the data that I do not want to be displayed in the drop down.
