95% Confidence Intervals- forced upper and lower bounds

    lee.chang.1

      Dear Forum,

I just started using Tableau and cannot seem to find an easy thread or Youtube video on how to create a custom error bar for the 95% confidence interval on a bar graph.  Could someone help me with this file and show me how to do this?  For example, for the A/H1N1 QIV-HD bar with an average value of 100, I would like to create an error bar with an upper bound of 120 and a lower bound of 50.  I want to force the upper and lower parts of the confidence interval versus having Tableau calculate the values as per some other Youtube videos (because I don't have the raw data, I can't use the actual values individually to do the 95% confidence interval calculations).

      Thanks,

      LC
