    Tableau site vs Tableau project

    Dale Forman

We have multiple external clients, who uses our tableau server. We are debating should we create separate sites for each client OR should we create separate project (with permissions) for them.

Can someone please share pro/cons of each approach   OR if you have any new approach/suggestion.

      Thanks for your input.

I would recommend having a site for each client primarily from a security perspective since it will allow a client to have multiple projects, workbooks, data sources, etc. and their data cannot be accessed by a user from another site unless it's provided by you, the server administrator.

You can subsequently  provide site administration access to the client so that they can manage their site themselves.
