How long does it normally take the extract to refresh? It seems that the database is unavailable during the refresh schedule. Try confirming with your database team when the relevant MYSQL database tables are updated. Then schedule your refresh several hours before or after the database update period.

Sorry for my late reply! I did think about the time of loading data in the database and refresh schedule, and I am sure the refresh schedule is in between the loading data.
What's interesting is: if I refresh the extract from the server and desktop at the same time, I can get data back with desktop, but not on the server. What do you think the cause would be?
