# Line graph at weekly and monthly level

Hi All,

I have data at calendar date level fr two years. I have to create a simple line chart which will show comparison between two year. I have done it at daily level, i am struggling with weekly and monthly level. The catch is i do not want my data to be summarized at weekly or monthly level, it should pick up last value of that week or month. My graph should be in 3M counts only not the summary of all the dates till that particular week or month.x

I hope i am making sense here, i am attaching sample tableau dashboard for your reference. Also, i have 10.5 Version.

Thanks.

Somehow when i am using this calculation in my data, it is giving me maximum of members instead of the last member.

Hi Shaheen,

It's hard to say anything

without actually looking at the data.

May be the Filters are bringing

something to the pot?

Are the Monthly figures behave the same?

Yours,

Yuri

I removed the filters and it is still giving me maximum values. I don't know why this is behaving in such a strange manner. see below:

Hi Shaheen,

Pardon for my previous replies,

I've used a wrong calculation.

The right one could be like this:

IF [Date] = {INCLUDE : MAX([Date])} THEN [Total Members] END

This LOD expression is formally a row-level calculation,

so it could be used on a view as an aggregate ( MIN / MAX / ATTR ).

Hope it helps finally.

Yours,

Yuri
