# Ideas for Scatter Plot-like Viz

Hi All,

I'm trying to create a visualization based on date and time. Since I'm using dimensions and not measures, I've run in to a roadblock and would appreciate any assistance.  In an effort to make the conceptualization easier, I created data consisting of three categories: cheeseburgers, french fries and sodas.  What I'm essentially trying to do is map the day of the week and time of day that one of these products was ordered - similar to a shot analysis on a basketball court or football pitch.  The biggest challenge that I've come across is that you can use measurements for the X-axis and Y-axis on a court or pitch, but I'm not sure what the best approach is when utilizing dates and times.

Sorry I am not sure what makes you stick on this.

What is X and Y ?

While interchangeable, X and Y would be day of week and time.  The reason I'd really like to try and figure this concept out is that it'll act as a heat map and specifically show the busiest periods during the week for each category.

Thanks,

Dan
