The value of parameter can't be dynamically updated unless you use filter. But not sure what you want to achieve in your workbook, if you could explain a bit more, probably there is a workaround by pass parameter.
I don't think there is any way to update the parameter dynamically because parameters are static in nature in tableau. Whenever new data comes you've to manually re-create the parameter. Here is an idea you may vote https://community.tableau.com/ideas/1178
There is one way if you wants to see the latest data to be filter whenever new data comes based on the latest date then you can use the filter like this.

Parameters in Tableau has always been static. However, there is now provision for dynamic parameters. Although still in Beta version, you can download and play with it.

I have a dashbaord which is devloped using two different sources.
I am linking both using paramter for week.
Now it is working good.
But customer is more interest the week paarameter values are dynamic.
So i am trying possibilities/workarounds for this.
As per knowledge and experts like you telling it is not aviable in tableau.
Stil any worarounf for this , please do the needful.
